I had a good Winter Break!! I wished for more vacation days. It didn’t snow at all which was great because we had more time outdoors. Anyways Happy New Year, I want this year to be good and challenging. Finals is almost near, I have to prepare myself. My goal is to get good marks and I will try my hardest whats coming up. I’m almost 15 I can’t wait!! CS was fairly easy in my opinion because MR. FERNANDEZ was very kind and generous.
Zenvo ST1
The Zenvo ST1 is designed to express the excessive power and performance of the car.
The design brief from the Zenvo creators to the designers at hermann & brandt design consultancy was to design a supercar that looked like no other supercar. The design had to be aggressive mixing supercar styling with race car elements.
The design of the Zenvo ST1 is made from free flowing accelerating lines creating the shape of the wheel arches, the roof line, side line and the lower side air intake. The sharp lines are connected by muscular organic surfacing creating dramatic reflections. Contrasting the general surfacing the design features a race car inspired lower carbon splitter.
The front of the Zenvo ST1 is designed around the hexagonal trademark Zenvo grille flanked by the large front air intakes used for brakes and engine cooling. The intakes are raked back to minimize drag and at the same time making the side impression of the car more compact.
The theme of the front is repeated in the rear which is designed around the big diffuser necessary for high speed stability. As on the front the center volume is flanked by large air exits extracting hot engine air as well as housing the exhaust and rear lights.
The rear spoiler mandatory for a car capable of extreme high speeds is partly integrated in the rear wing. It has a unique aerodynamic design following the raked shape of the rear end.

We finally stared HTML last week. It’s very easy to make a Web page, because I already learned the basic elements of HTML in gr8. I also tried CSS I was confused at first but than I understood it afterwards. My first web page in not complete, but then my Assign 1 web page is so good. It makes me want to make websites for the rest of my life..just joking…is so I have to learn harder codes. Its almost Winter Break, and there is no snow at all. I hope during the break there will be a blizzard=slush. Merry Christmas..!!
I totally forgot to blog…We are starting HTML and I like because its somewhat easy. I’ve done this in Mr. Carr’s last year. We also did a test on CH.5, I studied I just hope I have a good mark. It’s almost Christmas and Mr. Fern is probably giving us HMW and I want my christmas to be relaxing and reflecting otherwise I’ll forget my assignments. I think this class is getting harder every time, and somehow Mr. Fern is very hard on us…Oh well, time will past, just can’t wait till next week..

Can’t wait till’ Christmas. On the other hand, there is still some work to do in school. Which is doing homework, projects, exams, and presentations.. I also can’t wait for winter break. This week in CS we watched the 1983 movie, War games and we finished up the AUP project. I liked the film BTW it was very entertaining, however I hated the writing part. The movie is about where we believe the computer technology is going in the future. I believe the computer technology is going to be more advanced and high-tech. Ohh, also when we were doing the AUP project, I think Harneet did most of the work and she helped me. But Katie wasn’t really in to the group and not sharing ideas. I hope next week we’ll do something fun…
| Bombardier EMBRIO/2025: Gold, Design Explorations |
| Contact: Denys Lapointe, IDSA, Bombardier Recreational Products, 450.461.7771 denys.lapointe@recreation.bombardier.comCredit: Bombardier Design Group, CanadaThe Bombardier EMBRIO/2025 is a recreational vehicle similar to a motorcycle and requires no special training for the user. Future technology will have a large control over the laws of physics (i.e. the use of gyroscopes, sensors, high-performance braking system, active suspension, night vision, etc.). After starting and moving forward, the front wheels retract at 20 mph. Vehicle stands on one wheel (gyroscope) with two front wheels off the ground, but protracts when needed in case of gyro failure. Energy will be generated by fuel-cell technology. “”Futuristic,’ ‘exciting,’ intriguing,’ ‘exuding the Fun Factor’ and ‘unexpected’ were the words that were in my mind when I saw the EMBRIO. The designer has not only overcome the problems associated with the unusual proportion derived from the product’s mechanical make-ups, but has created a very attractive recreational vehicle of the future.” -Tom Matano, IDSA, Director, Industrial Design Department, Academy of Art College. |

It’s been a long time since I wrote my last blog. I want start talking about my experience in TOKTW. I went with my mom to work, I was very bored because I was isolated in her empty office for 8 hrs and pictured myself being like her. And also after weeks after weeks GR 9 had their HACE for 3 days. The best part was the Gr 10 weren’t in school for 2 weeks. The school was totally empty and different. I learned a lot of things in HACE, I just hope I could do it again maybe next year. This week we finally had our presentation in CS. I wasn’t nervous because I can trust my peers and myself. The other presentation was presented neatly but a number of groups were just not good enough to catch our attention. I won’t name names because they know who they are. This week is going to be intense because report card #1 is issued on Thrs and GR 9 are going to hava immunizations also on Thrs.
On Wed, SFU students came to Fleetwood Park to talk about life in University and interests in Computer Science. I liked their presentation, its like comaring Highschool students to College Students. The SFU students had a stronger presentation than all of us. I was touched and encouraged in their presentation, it was like preparing myself in the near future.
All the grade 9 students went to their parents/relatives work. I went with my mom. My mom works in Newalta Corp in Newton. I had to wake up very early because my mom works at 8. I wen tthere for the first time, I was feeling very bored at first. One of the biggest reason was I couldn’t use any computers, because the employees are operated in the sites they go to. Then my mom introduced me to all of her co-workers. I had to organize some folders to one of her workers. After that I had to help another worker with filing papers. I was like.. wow this job is sooo easy. But of course it wasn’t my mom’s job. The funny part was they were speaking in Math language. I couldn’t get what they saying but I know this is what I wanna be when I’m in the right age. Sitting on your own desk, with your own computer, own room, that it looks just like your library. But hopefully not in a place where it is sooo quiet and deserted. I worked for about 5-6 hours, that also includes doing my homework. All I learned was study hard so that I don’t have to do any filing, and study harder to become a manager.
SMART TOILET

New technologies have had a huge impact on bathroom design, and the Neorest 600 Toilet by TOTO is a perfect example of this. A single piece smart toilet, the Neorest lid magically lifts as you approach, and then automatically flushes and closes as you leave. A range of features are easily accessed by remote control, such as a heated toilet seat, front and rear washing, air dryer and deodoriser. It is like having a personal bathroom attendant in the privacy of your own home. Comfort and hygiene are seamlessly melded with technology to produce a toilet that serves your every need.
